Pescara officially arises in 1926 from the union of Castellamare Adriatico (on the left riverside of Pescara) and Piscaria, so called in the Middle Age.
Pescara is famous for having given birth to renowned personages like Gabriele D’Annunzio, Ennio Flaiano and Basilio Cascella.
With its nearly 130.000 inhabitants, Pescara is nowadays the most populous city of Abruzzo as well as Province administrative seat.
Excellently situated between the sea and the mountain under the tourist aspect it certainly represents a longer for destination for the ones who love the beauty spots of the Adriatic cost and the charming mountain landscapes.
